Florida is called "The deadbeat capitol of the world" with good cause. However, whatever reasons you have for not declaring BK,are USUALLY made worse by having judgements.A major exception to this would be if you have a pending civil suit with an expected settlement. NOT W.C. as that is exempt. If your reasons for not declaring BK are because of an expected civil settlement, then you can sometimes have the spouse who is NOT directly involved in the suit declare BK as long as he/she waives his/her interest in the case.If you get substantial judgements against you, they can and do wait until you have seizable assets (judgements last 20 years in Fl.) Your homestead is exempt, garnishment is prohibited for "head of household".any further questions, e-mail me.
