I suggest your wife send them a validation and dispute letter,do not sign,print whatever name they are using.Do not give her ss # or ANY information,use whatever account # s on their correspondence to her.Request proof of the debt under the FDCPA -have her say she disputes their claim. They are required by law to send a copy of HER SIGNED AGREEMENT when she took out the CC + proof of their "ownership" of the account.DO NOT SEND A CEASE AND DESIST unless and until the 30 days after you send the dispute letter- (RRR) If they do not-can not validate and they still keep trying to collect. THEN send a cease and desist letter.
