I am so glad I found this site. After spending ALL night reading about what can happen to me by choosing to default on my cc debt has totally turned me 180. My husband and I have decided to just bite the bullet and pay these cards off. It will take a lot and forever but I didn't realize how much I took my credit for granted. I didn't know it could affect me getting a phone or a checking account!!! I don't think I could live like that. I'd rather pay all the interest than be sued. I have never been turned down for anything (obviously) and although I don't want a dime more credit, I may want another house someday or car or checking account, etc. Thanks to everyone who gave input, it was a lifesaver.
