Send him a cease and desist and don't worry. Credit card acounts are defined as "open" accounts in the TILA (Truth In Lending Act) Venue (where action can be filed) and jurisdiction(which State laws apply) are spelled out VERY CLEARLY in the FDCPA(Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) Both are limited to either the State you were in when you signed for the credit,or the State you reside in now. Since both are Florida with a 4 year SOL you have nothing to worry about. Put in your Cease and Desist letter that any further violation by the Collection Agency of the FDCPA will subject them to action on your part including filing a complaint with the FTC and the Fl. Dept. of Agriculture Consumer Protection Agency.
