The job market everywhere isn't that great. Depending what part of FLA makes a difference. The metropolitan areas by far have many more jobs than some place rural. True, the jobs don't pay as much but the cost of living is far less than the N.J. and New England area. Taxes too, for that matter. The only other option that might be available is for her to transfer the property to you with "lifetime use" (this means the property is yours but she lives out her life there). You'd have to check with an attorney on the pros/cons.
