On the Capital One account, contact their credit reporting department and tell them you are authorized user, please cease reporting this. This is something that has been decided in previous court cases - they cannot continue to report charged off accounts on an AU's credit report. If they request a copy of your report, send it. That means they are correcting it. CapOne obeys all the laws and doesn't monkey around. They're not perfect, but I think they'll fix this.

Re your wife's accounts, what is your balance to limit ratio? Add up all balances, then add up all limits. divide the total balnce by the total limit. If it is less than .30 (30% you are fine. If it is higher, ask her to remove you as AU on both accounts, and have her tell the card comapny to delete the accounts from your credit reports.

I think these can be solved this way. A lot of these things are misunderstandings and miscommunications.
