The bank was originally Detroit & Northern Bank, but it is now the Republic Bank. By the way, after looking at my report a bit closer, I noticed that the 10/2001 write-off entry is showing a closed date of 10/2001 and an updated date of 2/2002. I also noticed that the original 9/1996 write-off entry has a closed date of 9/1996 and an updated date of 11/2000. I have no idea why they would have updated the account on 11/2000 after writing it off on 9/1996 or why it would have updated again in 2/2002 after being written off again in 10/2001. I haven't been in touch with the collections officer yet, but when I do, I am going to ask for a detailed payment history of the account so that I can further 'verify my records'. What do you think?
