Check your credit report at Experian. I'm not endorsing them, in fact I dislike all CRAs. However they do have the best payment history. Check for the 30 late on that account. Then check the SOL for open accounts in your state. If the 30 day late is older than the SOL..you really have nothing to worry about as far as a lawsuit goes and thus nothing to worry about at all. If you made payments through a counseling service it should not effect the SOL.
