After months of wrangling with NCO Financial over a debt sold to them AFTER I had already paid another CA in full for that account, my latest Equifax report shows a new charge for Gulfstate Credit. Lucky me. Two questions: 1) my latest Equifax report has a notation next ot Gulfstate Credit saying "FIRST SEL-" with what looks like a partial account number...I am assuming this is the account they say they bought. If so, this is a totally bogus charge. Is my assumption correct? 2) the Equifax report I just got today regarding my investigation, which says they have "verified" this account belong to me, now has a second, identical notation for OSI Funding. This cannot be legal - it's the same damned company, right? How come Equifax keep letting this happen? Thanks
