Statute of Limitations Letters?

Hi All,

I've seen all sorts of letters dealing with Cease and Desist, Unauthorized Inquiries on Credit Reports, and so on. However, I haven't seen anything on notifying a CA that the statute of limitations on my debt (as far as suing me) has passed and to cease and desist contacting me. Is there any such thing? I haven't been threatened with a lawsuit or anything yet - I just want to be prepared.

What I really want is to say something like, "Look I know your industry and I'm sure that you purchased that debt for pennies on the dollar - how about we make a deal? I pay you whatever you paid for the debt and we'll call it a day. Okay?"

BTW - the debt's about six years old and it's for an overdrawn checking account. Does that make any difference?

Thanks.

Thanks.
