While were on the bad check subject..

I have two outstanding checks as well, from two years ago. I have called the collection agency that bought the account and was told they will not accept settlements, period, on checks.
One check is for $104 and the other is $46.00. I plan to pay them in full as it stands, this month, but was wondering if you have any tips on getting them to settle for slightly less than the original amount. If not I'll suck it up and pay what I owe. THANKS.
BTW - I am very impressed with the people that help provide info for all of us. Not only are you guys a great wealth of information, here we don't get condemded for our "past discretions". Thanks...
