Ask the lawyer to sign a petition to vacate the judgment. I had to do that. I posted the documents used on my yahoo site http://briefcase.yahoo.com/serenitybreeze in the "judgment" folder. The only thing missing is the letter to the plaintiff lawyer asking him/her to sign the motion. I can't find it :/ However, just a simple note will do. Dear Bigshot Lawyer: Since, as you have stated, this judgment was filed in error, please sign the enclosed motion to vacate, so this matter can be resolved. Thanks blah blah blah, > Be sure you change these documents to fit your situation, LOL, or they will think you are crazy. These documents were for my situation, in a court in my state. However, the general format for such a motion is the same everywhere. Linda
