If the SOL is up, then the mortgage company shouldn't really care about it, IMO. Ask your mortgage broker or loan officer why they want it paid when it is past the SOL and it isn't yours anyway.

Also, I would find out where the mortgage company got that report - you have some disputing to do with them. They are giving out old information.
