I'll file it with the other letters. They gave us 60 days to get the settlement amount to them. Since they're a law firm, I'm assuming they know they're in violation and are trying a last ditch effort to get something. But if they do sue, I have copies of the letters and the cards showing that they never validated the debt and ignored the C&D. If I did file against them, I'm wondering how hard they would try to validate the debt just so they could counter sue and collect more than what their settlement offer is for. Who knows, maybe they'll send more letters and rack up more violations. If they get enough of them, then I'll go after them. Having violations that add up to what they're trying to collect could just wipe it all out if I win.
