On another board (legal-not credit) there were several postings by someone who had library books signed out to her by someone else using her name. In many libraries, there is an id card in the book with "your name" on it. This starter package for id fraud is fairly new. Have you checked only one credit report? If so, you may wish to check all 3 (or now 4).As to removing it from your credit report. File an id theft claim with the police dept. of the Town you were in, and interfering with mail claim with the P.O.. Send copies to the library and the CRA. together with a demand for deletion.
