I agree with Linda, the best protection against credit catastrophe is adaquate insurance. I do not like the "credit insurance" offered by cc companies, just as I don't like the "mortgage insurance" offered through lenders. If you look around you can find good supplemental disability insurance plans, either thru your employer or private companies that provide you with all inclusive disability and life policies at lower rates than thru the lenders,
