If you are able to make a lump sum than talk to someone in the company authorize removing or changing the items on your report. They may agree to remove the bad info and update the report to reflect that the credit was paid on time and in full. Then you get rid of the debt and get a good reference all in one shot. Use linda's pay for removal letter. Make sure it is returned signed by the person you talked to. And always send it RRR. If you pay and they dont update your report then the clock starts again on the negetive again. Chances are if you find the right person they will help you out, especially if they are getting al thier money.
