Gulf State Question, again, and again, and again

Without going into too much detail, I agreed upon a settlement with Gulf State last year (long before I learned of this site, however). The date reported on my credit report is 1995 and 1996, respectively. A few months ago I received a credit report and the date reported has been changed to 2001 (the same month I agreed to settle). I wrote Experian and provided three copies of the credit reports that showed the actual (1995 and 1996) and the fabricated (2001). When asked to changed the info, they said they would "investigate" the issue with Gulf State. Well, Gulf State "stands" behind their date reported. What can I do to change the date? These items are supposed to be removed in a few months to a year. Thanks.
