YES LINDA !!
I guess I read the questions in a hurry, I agree this has nothing to do with your "credit score".
If you are buying a car from a private party, have had it thoroughly checked out by your OWN mechanic, (even if it is from someone you trust),go to any bank or credit union EXCEPT Wells Fargo-they, as Linda said, are just out to rook you for high interest rates, plus they usually have a tie in with local used car dealers with a kick-back. If you decide to buy from a car dealer-buy from a NEW car dealer's used car lot, that way you can get good financing a reasonable warranty and know you are not getting a "lemon"-BUT HAVE IT CHECKED BY YOUR OWN MECHANIC ANYWAY !Actually, you can probably get a new car,(demo or newer lease car) with mfg. warranty and lower interest rates for a longer pay-out, than you can a used car.
