As far as contacting your husband's employer - it is a violation. They can only contact an employer AFTER they have sued and won in a court, and then they can only send in the court docs in order to garnish pay. In some states, they can't garnish pay.

They are liars and sleazy opportunists who don't care what laws they break in order to get money. Don't talk to them. Their only weapon is your fear, and if they can't talk to you, they will have to communicate in writing. Then they cannot scare you like this with empty threats.
