I am currently trying to reconcile a dispute with TeleCheck. I have a negative report from them and therefore having checks denied from merchants who use their services. They have two checks that have not been paid because they say I stopped payment on, of which I have not and my banks local and home offices have researched my acccount and also have found no stop payment activity. I have repeatedly ask TeleCheck to put these back through and they continue to tell me that I have to have my bank lift the stop payment to clear up the negative reporting. However this is impossible since it didn't happen. TeleCheck has now asked for a running balance of my account so they can see that the funds were there before and after the 2 transactions. I went to my bank this AM and together we faxed the information to them. However upon researching my account we found checks written to one specific merchant had been deducted from my account under one check # 16 times, each of which were different transactions with of course different dates, amounts,& #'s. Throughout all this very time consuming ordeal, I thought it may be easier to clarify these issues with TeleCheck by obtaining a printout of any activity passed through the TeleCheck system during the past year under my name, account # etc. would be helpful and would also hopefully avoid this problem or others to occur in the future. I have verbally ask twice for this printout but have been told that they don't do that and one lady even told me they didn't have a computer that could pull out that information. I feel I'm in the right to request this information and also have a copy of a little card given to me from a merchant (when your check is denied) with a statement on it saying,"Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act,consumers have the right to a free copy of the consumer's information held in TeleCheck's files for a period of 60 days following an adverse action. Consumers also may dispute the accuracy or completeness of any information in TeleCheck's consumer report." Having made the verbal request twice and being told that's not possibel that is why I am visiting this site forum in hopes of being properly directed on how to request this consumer report. I anxiously await a response and gladly Thank You for your guidance and help. I will be contacting TeleCheck again this afternoon to check the status on my negative reporting after they have received the fax from my bank this morning. Thanks Again!Claudia Hensley
