What we need to do here is research the PA statutes for information re repossessions and deficiency balances. Actually this may be uncollectable - it is in many sates. And even if a deficiency balance is collectable in PA< there is the question of whether all the laws were followed when they repossessed the car. Many sttes require all kinds of information and notices regarding a repossession. Often these laws are ignored. If that is the case, the debt is still uncollectable.

You lawyer didn't seem to know the consumer protection laws very well. Don't take it all at face value.

I have it all very good authority that Gulf State cannot validate the debts they buy. Send that letter. At least it will put them on the defensive, and buy you some time.
