TAKE ADVICE FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH

Like all message boards, this one has its good and bad
points. Although informative for someone who is "new"
to how credit in this country really works (not always an uplifting picture coherent with the "American dream," that we fantasize about sometimes, the advice given here should be taken for what it is -- free advice that may or may not be of the same value we are paying for it--nothing! The same as no one is required to read this board and has no real reason to attack the posters on it, the same is true about those who post on a regular basis--there's no reason to resort to name calling when someone launches an unpopular opinion or point of view. I think individuals with credit problems should read many points-of-view but always rely on their own judgment in the end. Last but not least, don't allow your credit troubles to bring you down or allow yourself to be intimidated by any bill collector or anyone else. The entire collection process is based on fear and intimidation--don't be a victim of either!!! If you honestly can't pay, then let them take you to court as they so often threaten. Contrary to what the credit industry would have most believe, the VAST majority of judges are very consumer oriented and know that virtually no one wants to be over their heads in debt. Good luck to all..........
