Reporting clarification....

I believe I have been told here that only the original Creditor and one CA can report on the same debt. Is there a section I can reference in the FCRA or FDCPA? As I have 2 collection agencies trying to collect on a debt, both stating they have possession of the debt, this is my true debt but I am not wanting to have to pay it twice....
Thank you soooo much, Linda & whychat & all others have been a great help and inspiration to hang in here and get my credit straightened out!!!
