Dear Anges Wright:
I'm sorry to hear of your trouble. It's no fun being "brushed off on a wild goose chase". Sometimes small claims court is helpful in obtaining the performance that you want. You should be entitled for damages for them "dinging" your credit with their irresponsibility and gross negligence. Investigate for all parties any statue of limitations and enforcement practices.
Your additional incurred costs may consist of insurance premium surcharges, higher interest, loan denials, and other costly expenses.
People who sue are not always after money, but to achieve performance of acts that they may be unwilling to do. It's your live style they are messing with. You have rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act under federal law that became stricter in October, 1997, thanks to President Bill Clinton. Credit right enforcement is now mandatory. Try calling the FTC and state attorney general's office. Try your "call for action" program at your local television station. The media shows to be effective with a good reporter.
This so-called judgement can be invalidated or vacated.
Also investigate for possible identity theft. It's a serious problem nationwide. New identifications may have to be sought if yours has been compromised. When initiating a tradeline dispute (keep copies of all records), find a valid "reason" to claim possible fraud until proven otherwise. This should help get some results.
Once you achieve a deletion, ask a supervisor at all of the credit bureaus to place a "block" on a previously deleted tradeline so that it does not reappear on your credit report. You may have to "stay on their case until they get the job done". Good luck and e-mail me on the outcome. Please keep me posted.
Sincerely,
Matt Daniels.
