My credit cards are delinquent about 4 - 5 months at this point and I am trying to pay on all of them however all have been reported as delinquent and many are closed now. I spoke to several people at the credit card companies, both in collections and customer service and all of them told me they are not authorized to remove delinquencies from my credit reports becuase it's federal law. Doesn't sound right to me. Any thoughts on this and how do you find someone in authority at these companies? I have spoken with supervisors but they are worse than the people who call. I've even asked for the address of the corporate office and the name of the CEO and they would all say they didn't know. Still not sure if a settlement is better if they're not going to remove bad marks at all and my credit is still trashed. Not sure what creditors would look at: scores, delinquencies, paid in full or settlements. Anyone have any advice on these problems. Would be appreciated. Thanks!
