OK, I just went back and read the previous posts. My suggestion, take all this, including a copy of the bk filing listing these judgments, and the discharge, to your loan officer. Ask him/her set up an escrow fund for this (to protect their interests while you get it taken care of) and you pay the excrow fund, not the bozos who got the jugdment. The judgment is uncollectable, but they have you between a rock and a hard place.

Most mortgage brokers/loan officers know what to do - not the lawyers.

No answer from the former creditor is actually good, except that you are in a hurry.

Additional suggestion - contact Christine at http://www.bayhouse.com - she might have some suggestions. She is/was a mortgage broker, and deals with this kind of trouble with a great deal of expertise. She might know other techniques peculiar to the industry.

If she want to charge a small fee, she is worth it, IMO.
