No, don't deal with them, don't trust them no matter how helpful they sound. They are playing you. They tell lies.

Send them a valication letter to buy yourself some time, and take your husband to court for failing to comply with the court order. Contact the family court handling your case for assistance if you aren't sure what to do. You need an attorney, BTW. The family court will get you one if you really can't afford one.

As far as the refi - take copies of your divorce decree to the mortgage broker and see if they have any ideas for ways to get your mortgage through without you actually paying these people. They can be very creative if they want to.
