i live with a man who had excellent credit until 1995 in the state of Ohio. He is about 40 grand in debt with several different credit card companines. Of course he hasn't used any cards since 1995. He receives letters from other companies who i believe bought the old debt from original owner. Can he still have a lawsuit brought against him? Is the statue of limitations ran out? I also have not married him for this reason, if i did, am i liable for the debt also? Thank-you any imformation will be appreciated.
