If he sends a cease and desist letter to the collection agents,certified mail, return receipt,and includes the statement,(in addition to the regular cease and desist from all collection activities) "I am aware that the statute of limitations for bringing any legal action on this account has passed,this is to notify you that any such action or threat of such action will be grounds for my filing suit against you for violation of the FDCPA"
