If you dispute the item with the CRA just use the number they gave you. They say they cut off part of the account number for your protection (yeah the CRA cares about you..LOL)They will know what it is. Your credit report is required to give you the name and address of any company that reports info on your file. It should be listed somewhere on the credit file you obtained. If not ask them for it. Also, a word of caution, repaying your debts wont clear your credit file. If you are delinquent and it's been reported....paying them off won't change the delinquency.
