You said that you had BIG debts from medical expenses.If there is anyone in your family who is recovering from,or suffering from any kind of medical problem,the last thing you need are collection agents hounding you.Debts,unless discharged by BK start out with the nice to deal with collectors and sink down into the pit of vermin bottom feeding scumbags who will make you and your family miserable.The ONLY time I do not suggest BK is if you have big $$ coming in from a law suit.And Va. exempts accident settlements from being attached.
