Does the FDCPA apply to the "subsidiaries" of the original creditor? As I understand it, First Select is a subsidiary of Providian Bank. Would First Select be liable for violations under the FDCPA? Moreover, does anyone even know if my understanding of First Select's relationship as Providian's subsidiary is correct? Thanks
