ok....so I called Lexington Law to see about getting them to help me with my disputes...found out they don't deal at all with anyone but the CRA's...won't write any kind of validations to the creditors...basically they just dispute everything on your report with the CRA's...won't they flag your claim as frivolous if you wrote a blanket claim that everything on your report is wrong??? Also checked about settlement...am still considering some pay for removal kind of stuff...the CSR (I know this person was not intelligent enough to be a lawyer) told me that they do settlements but only try to get the amt owed knocked down to under fifty cents on the dollor...she said they have never had any luck getting anyone to remove anything for payment (and they take 20% of what you 'save'as a retainer). So i asked her what my motivation would be to pay them if my report will stay just as bad and she told me that when a new CA is assigned that it restarts the reporting clock..so if you don't pay them, they keep transferring to a new company which reages it and keeps it on your credit report forever...i said i thought that was illegal and she assured me that is what they do...this sounds like a complete load of BS to me...contrary to everything i've ever read including my experion report which helpfully lists the date of removal on all accounts...anyway so do you think I can pay to remove my small accounts (under $100) or do you think the amt is too small for them to work with me and I should just dispute???thanks ....gotta go make easter eggs...
