Hi. I was wondering if someone could tell me if in the state of NH crditors themselves can be told to stop calling a work phone? Let me explain the situation.

My husband and I got into some financial trouble and got behind on many bills. I have caught up and paid off a couple already. In fact one was from Providian.
I personally have another providian card and still trying to keep up with others.

We had changed our phone number for personal reasons. Not to avoid creditors. Most I changed with the creditors so they didn't think I was avoiding them but I guess when my husband and I moved about a month ago Providian didn't get our new home phone number right away but they sure as heck found a way to get a cell phone number which is not mine or my husbands.

This phone is for his work use he is a truck driver and it is totally illegal for him to answer a phone when he is loading or unloading considering he delivers gas. He has told them many times to stop calling that number but they continue to anyway. Just tonight he got 14 phone calls from them in about 3 1\2 hours.
Help me what can I do if my husband gets caught answering that phone because they call so often he could get fired.
