If these were after the C&D and you have a return reciept for it, then keep a log and rack up a few violations. One wont do it.

Check with your states comptroller to see if they meeting the requirementss to collect in your state. IE licence etc.

Pull your report and see if they pulled any inquiries after the C&D.

Basicaly do the research and collect a bunch of violations for different laws then file complaints with the AG, BBB, FTC and banking commision in your state,

If they cntinue to call and send letters then take them to small claims court and sue them for violating the FDCPA. To get the 1000 you have to sue them. But name removing the tradelines, as a condition of the suit.
