All you want to know about chex.

They are a CRA that deals exclusivly with banks. They provide info on your banking history.

They are bound by the FCRA. so deal with them like experion or equifax.

Goto www.chexsystems.com and order your report online. Use the bank you applied to as reference. It will be free. Then go from there.

Chex items are reported for 5 years. If you are on chex it will be real hard to get an acct. Banks will normally not remove for pay. The good news is it doesnt affect your ability to get CCs and other typs of credit. Just you ability to open an acct.
