2 years ago we defaulted on $20,000 owed to Citibank. We were contacted by a lawyer who gave us the option of paying off the account or he would get a judgement against us. We paid for a while but were unable to continue. Later we received paper showing that a judgement was filed ( although it does not show up on our credit report). The credit report does show the account as a charge off. Doeas this lawyer still have the ability to try to collect after a charge off? Can he put a lien against our house?

Thanks for any information.
