Before they would let us try to pay it off, they made us sign an agreement to let them have a judgement and waive a court appearance. We thought finances would get better and that we could pay it off - but that didn't happen and apparently they exercised their option to get the judgement. We did get a copy of it with the court seals, but it doesn't show up on our credit report.
