The bottom line here is NEVER TAKE THE WORD OF A CREDITOR, A COLLECTION AGENCY, OR THEIR LAWYERS. These people will say anything. I've never heard of signing away your right to appear in a lawsuit although, like criminal court, you can reach an agreement before the case goes to trial which would be enforced by the court.Why don't you just file a lawsuit against Citibank and claim you signed their agreement under duress?
