Tell them to go fly a kite. SOL is 4 years. They can't sue you and win. Credit reports shouldn't have anything about this account. Like Linda said get the three reports and check carefully for the last activity date. Some CAs are illegally trying to reage accounts. If they exist, tell the credit bureaus that the accounts are past the 7 year limit and should be removed.

Ignore the settlement offer. If they write you demanding payment, etc, send them a Cease and Desist letter. That will be the end of them.
