Ok here is the deal. Send a dispute to the CRAs for age. The max time for reporting is 7 yrs from chargeoff from the original creditor. That should get it off your report. Send a C&D to the CA. That will keep them from harrassing you.

Check you credit reports from all 3 agencies at least once a quarter to keep it straight while you are hunting for a lender. That way you wont be surprised by a negetive you didnt know about and give you time to fix it.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SETTLE with these guys. you will reage the debt and you are stuck for another 7 yrs.
