Hi guys, one more question to begin with,, I am going to need "strategic" guidance as far as student loan dealings, but that can what one more night,, my questions is,( my post in reference to an upaid phone bill SOL,, linda said that she thought there wasnt a SOL because I have to be in a place where they can serve me,, and as I am abroad, perhaps there isnt a SOL,,,well federal (and NY state) civil procedures, say yes you can be served overseas,, but its a real hassle for them to do it, but thats besides the point because my address on my credit report has been in NY for a couple of yrs, now, so they would head to NY courts) but,, finally, my questions is, I have two charge offs, both past the SOL, in NY, that write
"charge off" UNABLE TO LOCATE CONSUMER
does that mean they can come at anytime in the future and sue me, because they "claim" they couldnt find me, even though the NY address has been there for yrs,, by the way,, I have never in the past 4yrs ever gotten anything in the mail in NY from them ( one being Citibank,, which scares me, from posts I have read) but both these collection agencys pull my credit report every now and then, and they see the NY address but do nothing,, can I assume that if one day, they sue me out of the blue,, I can say the SOL has run out,, and of yes you could have corresponded with me, as you pulled my credit report numerous times over the yrs, and saw the NY address,,,,,?????? thanks guys,,,, PS linda, I still havent found anything on SOL for phone bills, but is a normal practice, sueing over phone bills ?????
