Not only does the TILA define credit cards as "open accounts" but it provides penalties against lenders who violate the TILA rules in ANY WAY- such as threatening or bringing an action that is illegal. It is also a violation of the Ill. Human Rights Statutes, any good lawyer would see a winable counter-suit.
