If you have it in writing, signed by someone authorized to bind the company, you can sue. I have also heard of folks blackmailing them - sort of "fix it or I send a copy of this agreement to Equifax..." - it is a violation of their subscriber agreement to delete for money, because it violates the "integrity of the database.".

However, anyone who has sued the CRA's will tell you that they routinely delete in exchange for the consumer dropping the lawsuit, without regard for the "integrity of the database."
