You might also want to consider calling the media. They love stuff like this & it would also serve to show just how people like yourselves are treated. Several years ago, an elderly gentlemen, with a small (under $1000) mortgage had his Social Security checks delayed for some reason. The bank foreclosed. The press just loved that and made a fool out of the bank - foreclosure proceedings were stopped and the bank lost a lot of business.
