You are not in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin "Marital Property Act" has created seperate "Wisconsin" rules and forms for credit applications. Mike's wife's accounts may not show up on his credit reports, BUT the "hard" inquiries certainly will (and probably did on yours too)
Under the FCRA and the 1999 Gramm-Leach "Privacy Act" an unauthorized inquiry is illegal.
