I am sorry to tell you that by paying off money you didn't have to pay,that had long since been dropped from your credit reports,you reactivated your 7 year "bad credit" reporting. N.American, (one of the bottom feeding scum collection agencies) would have been completely unable to collect a dime from you.If you had disputed and validated at the
time. Now,with the record of your payment, they can say whatever hey want to the credit bureaus, and sell whatever they say is still due on the account to an even lower scum like Pinnacle.You will have to send a validation,dispute letter rrr to Pinnacle,they will probably ignore it,then you will have to send a copy after 30 days to the CRA's for dispute and removal.It will take a while,since you are on the "prime sucker list".
