I would bring it current.

A lease appears like any other loan on you credit for the Full amount of the lease including the payoff. If it is still in toyota's hands then i'd make the forst of the payments ans call and talk to a supervisor and explain what happend and that you can brign it current the next month. Dont talk to the front line weinies they have no athority to do anything and are usually dicks. Also talk to the manager of the dealer he may have other people he can call.
