How should I handle the creditor that has refused to cash my check which I made payable to them because it violates the agreement they have with the collection agency - which apparently says that all payments must be made payable to the collection agency? They have not sold the account, so I really don't understand the problem. I obviously can't force them to cash the check, but they have not sent it back to me either. ?!?
